The City of Princeton reduced expenditures such as public safety, park and recreation programs, civic engagement, and charitable giving among others. The city has delayed capital equipment replacements, including a 20-year-old flatbed truck. Non-union employee wages have been frozen, while union contracts are still in negotiation. On the revenue side, the city’s levy will increase 3% in 2010. The city has also reduced its reserve fund.
